So I grow up by one more year today. And i look back to the blessings in my life. There are many misgivings in life but from this day for a year (to begin with) I would like to count my blessings every single day. My daughter . Every single time I look at her, I get to understand LOVE. She might drive me crazy on school days, but I find comfort in that routine chaos. S -  for being there always for support. Though not very good in showing off his affections/ emotions  or organizing surprise parties ,  his take it as it comes attitude, and little gestures he does ,  almost setting no expectations from me or others makes me thank GOD for giving me a good partner in life. My parents - Yeah , Iam truly blessed. Having them live close by and seeing them at least once a week  , thank GOD . I will be totally in a mess if it wasn't for my father reminders and mom's advice and her prayers for me. My parent-in-law-  They are easy ...

For the past few weeks -work days and weekend nights - burning my midnight oil like never before - for reading some books- giving a a good laugh and memory trips to the 90's . -some seriously overrated book but actually found to be quite errrrrmmm un putdownable. -for once again living the joy my teens seeing the Road to avonlea series.  A better understanding of the dialogue adds to much more fun and admiration. -some crappy kollywood movie ( read singham2 ), and really good ones also. Have never actually done so much reading even for my exams. Ah, really glad that this year I have taken up reading again rather than watching movies . So what all I have read so far 1. The Anne of Green Gables - the whole series at it. 7 books ( Woow...fell in love with this). 2. Those pricey thakur girls. 3. The zoya factor . 4. The oath of the vayuputra 5. The taj conspiracy. 6. some other novels again related to taj. 7. some  e-books 8. reading the battle of bith...

-sadly neglecting the blog. :( -studying :) - having inner struggles  :( - seeing a baby gal grow up to a miss little lady :) - watching a little gals dream come true , seeing the happiness shine in her eyes :) -cooking :) -fighting with low self esteem, :( and still not winning over it. -trying to find a purpose in life  :| -lose weight and get back in shape :( :( -scolding the little one :( - health issues :(( -getting worse in maintaining family ties :(  [ After marriage I am noticing a decline in my interactions with my  paternal/maternal family] - disillusioned :( -understanding what love is when I wake up everyday to a small form sprawled next me and every time she utters "Amma" Inga vaye , paaren (Amma .. come here see this ). :) I see lots of :( than :)  which translates to admonishing myself for not living my life as I want or as I perceive it to be. Things are looking up in Sanja household -- here is what we have been doing for the past few weeks / months  Clay modelling - While Amma and Sanja friends sit and patiently make clay stars , butterflies and tree - Sanja is busy crushing them and making all of them into balls.  Walling painting-  To make the Sanja doodles les visible on the wall, the bigge kids (S and myself) set about doing Warli paintings on the said wall. The parents of the bigger kids have sworn that they will never leave the house in the hands of these kids for a long time.( They have been to US for 6 months),  Fabric painting; Got hold of one of Sanja's frock and painted a girafee on it. Planning on doing more of this .  House cleaning - Loads of trash and dust thrown away.  Got ourselves a new auto washing machine.  A convention oven-  The big gal is dreaming about making loads and loads of cookies , cakes.  Myself finding more time to play with Sanja since all w...

Yippy ,  first milestone for the BLOG.

A must deserved holiday was spent in Munnar. Thanks to last minute (literaaly a few days )decision we couldnt get any train tickets to Kochi. So Sanja got her first flight journey booked from Chennai to Kochi. From Kochi we were picked by our travel guide/ driver to proceed to Munnar. On our way we had breakfast and Sanja had the bout of travelling sickness. Puke smelling we saw the Virala falls and the Deepa spice gardens. After the purchase of home-made chocos, some spices we reached our resort arount 2:30 PM. Ordered roome service for lunch and spent the remaining day lazying around and catching up with world cup final. Day 2:  After a yummy breakfast  headed to elephant ride, Mattupatty dam , speed boat ride , kundala lake, echo point and Tea museum.              Sanja enjoyed the elephant ride very much. That is what is happening to my writing as well. Som many thoughts are running in my mind. I dont know what to write what not to write. And finally end up not writing at all . Humph. Since my last posts have ll been revolving around Sanja, I would like to take a break from it and write abt something else.

Came up with this one as we were making the crown for Lord Krishna yesterday.  Inspiration: UTBT -CD re-usage.  Material used: Some fancy stones, glass painting colours, discarded small toy(doll).

How I started blogging? Ever since I was pregnant with Sanja, we named the unborn "Boo boo". So after almost a year passed by and by chance I googled up on Boo boo. I landed up in the blog Boo's babytalk . I got hooked to the daily life of ppl in that blog. In one of the posts, was mentioned a book "Bringing Up Vasu". You guessed it right, my next stop was at orangeicecandy, the blog of the book's author Parul Sharma. So from there on  I took to reading many mom blogs and thought - wow maybe even I should keep a blog for posterity. So "rainmusings" kick started with posts. I just didnt want to restrict the blog to Sanja but wanted to share my opinions thoughts and what not. So that is how one can find random posts (musings!!) in this blog.    

My companion for 3 + years , the moto w220 finally fell silent on Friday. With all people speaking through it , the speakers jsut went bust. The company itself has shutdown the mobile division. It has suffered a lot in the hands of myself and Sanja , what with dropping it atleast once a day but it endured all this and didnt complain. Finally it broke having served its purpose in a dedicated way. While many ppl complained about Moto mobiles , my mobile proved otherwise. REST  IN PEACE ! So now to the new addition to my gizmo list -   is Presenting Sony Ericsson Naite' .  This has the 3G provision (though that feature might never get used). All the basic features available. It is termed "Eco-friendly" as the mobile has be made from recycled material. Go Green !!  !! Let you know how its working later on ...
