Visit to 3 rivers (MUNNAR)

A must deserved holiday was spent in Munnar. Thanks to last minute (literaaly a few days )decision we couldnt get any train tickets to Kochi. So Sanja got her first flight journey booked from Chennai to Kochi. From Kochi we were picked by our travel guide/ driver to proceed to Munnar. On our way we had breakfast and Sanja had the bout of travelling sickness. Puke smelling we saw the Virala falls and the Deepa spice gardens. After the purchase of home-made chocos, some spices we reached our resort arount 2:30 PM. Ordered roome service for lunch and spent the remaining day lazying around and catching up with world cup final.
Day 2:  After a yummy breakfast  headed to elephant ride, Mattupatty dam , speed boat ride , kundala lake, echo point and Tea museum.
Sanja enjoyed the elephant ride very much. The elephant we  rode on was a 30 year old female named Yamuna. Yamuna is accustomed to camera and knows when to pose and how to pose. S offered it a fruit basked that it gobbled up in notime. We told our good byes and proceeded to the mattupatty dam.
Sanja got to see the rainbow and some really good scenary. The speed boat ride was fun with Sanja and me singing the songs from Dora adventures. Sanja looked all professional wearing goggles lifejacket and all hte works .
Had some refreshments at Kundala lake and missed the slow boat ride since it was overcrowded. Sanja registered her name in list of presentee at the Echo point. It was fun watching her shout at her top of her voice to here back the Echo.
After eating some Rajasthani food we went to the "Kannan Devan tea Museum". The history was told in a movie format and some historical objects were on display. Got a quick tour on tea-making process , and hands on some freshly prepared tea powder.
The rest of the day we spent our day in the resort and some roaming about in the Munnar market.
Day 3: S birthday was celebrated with cake cutting and we sent off to Eravikulam thar national park.
After kms of walking the thars took pity on us and gave dharshan. Sanja played hide-seek by sitting inbetween rocks.
Visited the Hydel park and were ready to go home.
Day 4: We started back to Kochi . The father and daughter took turns puking and vomiting till we reached Kochi. Here we saw the Mattacerry palace, Jewish town  , a glimpse of cochi harbour.
Boarded the Patna express ( Thank God we bookd ourselves in 3 rd A/c). The train stinks in sleeper and other non-ac compartments. Had the most horrible veg - biryani for dinner and were glad to see namma Chennai central.

Highlights:
1. Sanja- loves travelling,  is very adjustable, can be demanding in what she wants.
2. Amma - has a tough time running behing the 2 year old bundle of energy.
3.  Even if it is freezing, Sanja will not use her blankets. and wont allow her parents even if they beg her .:)
4. Amma  is confident she can take her baby anywhere now that she has successfully made Sanja eat bread and jam.... ha ha ha
5. Carry loads loads of plastice covers papers with 2 ppl having travelling sickness.
