The 3rd birthday

Well it is almost a month since Sanja turned 3. Here is quick look at what we did.
1. Morning- Sanja had the nalangu and head bath.
2. She wore a new dress -a skin colored pant and green-white checkered shirt.
3. At school, her friends sang the birthday song. The temple in the school premise gave her the prasadam after archanai.
4. At home, we had a small decoration- couple of birthday banners, balloons.
5. Her neighbourhood friends , R T, GP, H attai, S athimber, and Mr. K arrived and we had the cake cutting. This year we had 2 cakes- one  chocolate fudge cake  from bakery and another baked by me.
6. Sanja was dressed in whilte - blue-grey frock.
7. Some dances , music, eating later the party was over and we spent time playing with the gifts.
8. The return gifts included - capsule pens, M&M gems packs, tiny memory cards.

This year we gifted her with play tent , wooden tool kit and the numbers mat.

The three year old had a bad beginning with fever, cold, vomit -happening in repeated cycle for the past 3 weeks.
The sanja -isms are getting better every day.

Sanja turns into mother hen !! Yesterday night we (S, mil, fil , sil , sanja , kicha ( sil's almost 2 month old son)) were having some discussion in the hall. S went to get the fruits for the night-banana. Sanja doesn't eat them, she is in borderline of whether to taste it or not and mostly gives up the banana. My thoughtful daughter

Sanja had been to a wedding yesterday with her maternal grandparents. She had a great time playing my father's friend 's grandkids.  She behaved like a very good girl and ate without much fuss. The curds were served in Matkas (small earthern cups). Sanja at once declared that she will take her cup back home for her mother. She made granny clean it up and took hold of it as priced possession. When everyone asked her why she is taking it with her , her reply  Amma paint panuva, papa amma ku kuduka poren. (Amma will paint it, Iam going to give it to her) . The background , she saw me painting the Diyas for Karthigai deepam this wednesday. She kept asking me Amma , painting pannare ya ma (Amma are you painting). and remembered to get that earthern pot fo me . Ahhh, gal, I learnt from you today, though the gifts can be small, they will be priceless when given with sooooo much of love.  Hugs to you Darling !!
